GOC 81 Div Seeks Collaboration Of Police On Security

The General Officer Commanding, GOC, 81, Division of the Army General G.A Umelo, has sought the cooperation of the Police in ongoing efforts to deal with deteriorating security challenges of the country.

Umelo, called for the cooperation when he visited Police AIG, Ahmed Iliyasu in-charge of Zone 2.

The newly appointed GOC, during the visit on Wednesday 9th September, 2020, explained that the visit was in furtherance of the synergy and collaboration between *Nigeria Army* and the *Nigeria Police* in ensuring the security and protection of lives and property.

The GOC, stated that the courtesy visit was in sustenance of the existing synergy and collaboration between the Forces.

The AIG in his response; reiterated the commitment and readiness of the Zone to partner with the Nigeria Army in combating crime and criminality and ensuring security of life and property using the veritable tool of Community Policing Strategy of problem solving and to maintain a very good work relationship.
