The Guild of Corporate Online Publishers (GOCOP) has commiserated with a member of the group Mr. Malachy Agbo, former President of the group over the passing of his beloved mother, Mrs. Laurita Nwakaego Agbo (née Ortuanya), on Friday, 8 May 2026, at Niger Foundation Hospital, Enugu.

“On behalf of the entire GOCOP family, please accept our heartfelt condolences.

“We join you, your family, and the people of Ohodo community and Amufi village in mourning the loss of a matriarch whose life was defined by humility, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to the service of humanity.

“From your statement, it is clear that your mother was more than a parent—she was a devoted Catholic, a compassionate mother, and a pillar of strength whose philanthropic activities and community-centered initiatives touched countless lives.

“The glowing tributes from family, friends, associates, and community leaders speak to a legacy of deep faith, peaceful disposition, and selfless dedication to the welfare of others.

“We know that her passing leaves a profound vacuum, but we take solace in the enduring impact of her kindness, guidance, and motherly counsel. May that legacy provide comfort to you and your family in this difficult time.

“We pray that the Almighty God grants Mrs. Laurita Nwakaego Agbo eternal rest and gives you, the Agbo family, and all who mourn the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.

“Please be assured of our prayers and solidarity as you make arrangements for her funeral and burial.” GOCOP said in a statement.
