The annual Christmas Carol Service of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) is now a tradition within the Insurance Industry.
The 2014 edition of the Carol Service was held at All Saints’ Church, Montgomery Road, Yaba, Lagos.
Goldlink Insurance, in its resolve to add more colour to the carol service hosted this year’s edition.
The CIIN President, Mr. Bola Temowo described the concept of the Carol Service as a unique platform for celebrating the yuletide, and an opportunity to glorify the Creator for a rewarding Insurance year.
The Carol of Nine Lessons was graced by chieftain and captains of the Insurance Industry while practitioners within the Lagos metropolis will be attending the service en masse.
The officiating Minister, Venerable Luyi Akinwande said it is an honour to host the Insurance Industry Carol Service, stating that is a unique event for his church.
Dignitaries for Reading of the Carol Lessons include the CIIN President, Mr. Bola Temowo, his Deputy, Lady Isioma Chukwuma and leaders of the Arms of the Industry, namely, Mr. G.U.S Wiggle of the Nigerian Insurers Association, Mr. Ayodapo Soderu of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers and Chief Lebi Omoboyowa of the Institute of Loss Adjusters of Nigeria.
A release signed by CIIN’s Director of Corporate Communications, Joseph Obah stated that the Carol Service engenders a unifying factor as not only Christian members of the industry attend the yearly service.
Obah added that the Ramadan Tafsir, the service for Muslim faithfuls in the industry also attracts attendance from non-Muslim members.
The Carol featured the traditional service of songs and Nine Lessons from the Scriptures. Leaders of Arms of the Insurance Industry took turns in the readings.
