Gunmen Attack School In Imo State

Suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, have reportedly attacked the Comprehensive Secondary School, Nkume, in Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State.

The unsuccessful attack caused panic among students and teachers on Monday, as the attackers also reportedly torched some motorbikes seen on the premises.

The students were preparing to write their Junior Secondary School examinations when the gunmen stormed the school and chased them, teachers and exam supervisors away but no casualty was recorded immediately.

The Imo State Police Command immediately deployed its men to determine exact level of damage confirmed spokesperson of the Command Michael Abattam.
