Oil production is set to enhance production capacity as Halliburton and Shape Digital develops new technologies that will enable producing firms scale up their operations.

Both firms have formed a strategic collaboration aimed at improving digital asset performance management by linking subsurface and surface operational intelligence across production systems.

The companies said the collaboration is designed to help operators make faster and more consistent decisions as offshore and onshore production systems become increasingly complex and interconnected.

The partnership combines Halliburton Landmark’s Digital Field Solver (DFS) platform with Shape Digital’s applied AI technologies, including Shape Lighthouse, Aura and Reef. The integrated system is intended to connect reservoir, well and production network models with live operational data tied to equipment condition, reliability, energy efficiency and safety performance.

“At the core of this collaboration is the ability to connect decisions throughout the production system,” said Tony Antoun, senior vice president of Landmark Software and Services at Halliburton. “The integration of subsurface and surface intelligence helps our customers plan with confidence, adapt to change, and execute more consistently throughout the asset lifecycle.”

According to the companies, the system is designed to support production planning, improve energy efficiency and strengthen asset integrity by giving operations, engineering and maintenance teams a shared operational view.

“Together with Halliburton, we bring operational intelligence and applied AI into the context of real production systems,” said Felipe Baldissera, CEO of Shape Digital. “This collaboration supports better planning, more efficient operations, and stronger safety outcomes at scale.”

The collaboration reflects a broader industry push toward integrating AI, operational data and engineering workflows to improve production performance and reduce operational complexity.
