House Of Reps Open Investigation On Refineries Past Expenditure

The House of Representatives has directed its Committee on Petroleum (Downstream) to carry out investigation on past expenses on the refineries in the country.

The decision followed a motion of urgent public importance moved by Luke Onofiok on Wednesday, March 24.

Onofiok said the motion intends to called for an “investigative hearing; to ascertain and examine what has been spent in the past for the maintenance and rehabilitation of the country’s refineries.”

The motion was taken after it was put to question by the Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila.
