Graduates from Ijaw kingdoms of Egbema and Gbaramatu in Delta State, stormed Chevron Nigeria Limited, Warri, to protest alleged refusal of the company to reinstate an employee, Timmy Okeoghene.

The sack of Okeoghene and two others, more than two years has remained a source of friction between Ijaw graduates under the auspices of KOMBOT.
Chairman of the group, Yabrade Moses, secretary, Asoki Victor and others were locked in a meeting with Chevron officials at 9.00am when I visited the company, while their placard-carrying colleagues were waiting outside for the outcome of the meeting.
A team of policemen were outside monitoring to ensure that things did not go out of hands, as the protesters gave the company seven days ultimatum to reinstate the dismissed employee or have its operations disrupted.
