The Comptroller of Immigration Service Rivers State Command James Sunday, PCC has announced a clean up operation coded “Operation Shigan Bultu” .
The Comptroller announced this after his tour of units under the Command and appraised officers commitment to duty in Rivers.
The operation is an under cover exercise to checkmate excesses and lukewarmness at work.
The Comptroller a former service public relations officer said it will be counter productive and unethical for any personnel to negate service standard and fall short of expectation, warning deviants to take dressing as it is a privilege to be in a service that does not delay your salary as at when due,we must of necessity deliver on the mandate of the Comptroller General,the new operation will monitor officers performance including myself.
He said, “wherever I fall short of standard the Command management team can bring it to my notice,it is a teamwork,and all of us at the management of the command must leave above board,no compromise nor excuse for negligence of our assigned task,every unit has an under cover under the exercise,it is an open secret to keep everybody on his or her toes,we must deliver to the satisfaction of our public and improve service image wherever we are found on duty call,we shall not renege on the service core values to be professional,ethical and institutional minded,people must be served as an institution, not individuals touting or trunketing service standard.”
