Suspects detained at the a Police station in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State were freed while a Police officer is reported missing after a fresh attack on a Police station by yet to be identified gunmen.
The gunmen attacked the Police station around 1 am on Thursday, April 8, and freed detained suspects.
During the violent attack, two people were injured.
Spokesperson for the Imo State Police Command, Orlando Ikeokwu confirmed the attack, acknowledging that one Police officer was missing and two others injured during the attack.
He also confirmed that some suspects detained in the Police facility were freed by the attackers.
