The Imo State Police Command denied news making the rounds on various social media platforms regarding a story purportedly published by an unknown news agency stating that a man named Ezekiel Anorue smashed a new born baby on the floor because his wife gave birth to a baby girl instead of a baby boy.
The Command said it has no record of such case and as such declares the said story as “FAKE NEWS”.
It said the PPRO Imo State Command never granted any interview nor had any conversation with regards to the said issue with anyone and wondered the reason why some people will just sit and cook up stories that never existed or happened.
It advised members of the public to disregard the news.
