KENON Oil And Gas To Expand CSR Platform

As part of its repositioning strategy in the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) outputs, the Group Managing Director of Kenon Oil and Gas Limited, Dr. Ikechukwu Okogbue has said that the company intends to use several platforms to expand its CSR.

These include non-governmental and charity organisations such as the Lion Club of Nigeria.

At the recent investiture as the President of Badore Lions Club Lagos, Okogbue said that he is going to use the platform to touch lives and give back to the society especially the less-privileged ones.

He explained that Lions club which is an international organisation in over 208 countries have over 1.4 living individuals offering needed services.

According to him as the club celebrate its centennial with the theme where there is a need there is a Lion, Badora Lion Club intend to offer services in four key areas and Kenon oil and Gas will support the club at all levels “and as the president of the club I will give my all to make the difference” he said. According to him the focus and key areas include the youth, environment, hunger and vision.

“We plan to feed 100 less-privileged members of our community; we plan to donate lion branded exercise books to two public schools in our community” he said.

He assured that the club during his tenure as the president will provide water and medical treatment for eyes for the members of the community, adding” There will be a visit to orphanage homes and currently we are training and empowering twenty adults for businesses’.
