| He said Yakubu clinched the governorship tickets for the party after he polled 94,990 votes which is the highest vote cast. |
| Obanikoro expressed delight with the way and manner the aspirants conduct themselves during the politicking for the Primaries. |
| He said the shifting of the primary election till today was based on logistic. |
| Obanikoro thanked the party members for finding time to come out enmass to vote for a candidate of their choice. |
| He maintained that in APC as a party there is no loser or winner in any contest. |
| Earlier in his address,the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress in Kwara state,Prince Sunday Fagbemi said today is a day of joy for all kwarans and party members. |
| He said God has been very magnanimous with them following the conclusion of the state assembly and the national assembly peacefully without any rancour. |
| Fagbemi noted the team sent to the state have carried out the assignment in a professional way. |
