The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Lagos State has decorated Hon. Mudashiru Obasa as its grand patron.
The decoration was done during a courtesy visit to the Speaker on Tuesday 9th of March,2021.
The purpose of the visit was to brief the him on NAWOJ activities, seek for support for the Association’s events and projects while fostering a working relationship with his office.
The Chairperson Adeola Ekine during the visit appreciated the Speaker for his good works especially to women and children.
The Speaker in response appreciated the NAWOJ Executives for observing all the good works being done by the House of Assembly.
He advised NAWOJ to look inward and fish out fake Journalists who go about spreading fake news.
According to him “It is important as a body to look inward and put a system in place to shed the bad eggs, mostly fake ones parading themselves as Journalist”. He further encouraged the Association to find a means of getting the fake journalists that go about blackmailing people as he promised to look into all its requesta and demands.
At the end, the NAWOJ Executives decorated the speaker as our Grand Patron.
Other members present at the courtesy visit are; Mojisola Kehinde Alli-Macaulay representing Amuwo-Odofin Constituency 1, Hon. Olusegun Victor Akande representing Ojo Constituency 1 and Adedamola Richard Kasunmu representing Ikeja Constituency 2.
