Lagos Police Command Arrests Suspects With Banned Substances

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal on Monday at the State Police Command Ikeja Lagos paraded suspected criminals in possession of banned substances/controlled drugs. 

He said the arrests was carried out after intelligence gathered by the undercover operatives of the Command, that some unscrupulous persons use Iddo Motor Park, Yaba, Oyingbo as a major transit point for the distribution of hard drugs to various parts of the country and neighbouring countries.

Edgal stated that his directive made the FSARS operatives to beam its searchlight on the aforementioned motor parks.

Further, on the 13th of July, 2018, it was gathered that a Flat Ducarto Bus with Registration No. FKJ -303-XQ was loaded with substances suspected to be hard drugs. The operatives swung into action and arrested, a 47 years old Mr. Lukmon Owolabi, Mr. Lanre Maduvie 55 years; and equally Mr. Aliu Usman Who is 60 years.

The police recovered Four( 4) cartons of Tramadol, Five(5) cartons of Analgin Injection, Four(4) cartons of Amcloxin capsules; and Three(3) cartons of Lumatem capsules.

According to Edgal after the investigation all the perpetrators of crime involved will be prosecution and charged to court.
