Lagos State Police Arrests Cult Members, Recover Arms

Nigeria police special anti cult team, ‘Operation Crush’ has arrested one Peter Ejovwoke (male) 26 years old of Ughelli North, Delta State at Ago Hausa Street  Ajeromi, Ajegunle. Two Baretta Pistols with three rounds of live ammunition were recovered from him”

The team also arrested one Azeez Ojora Ajayi aka Alaje (male) 37 years old in Apapa, and two Baretta Pistols with four ammunition were recovered from him. 

According to information available to Oriental News Nigeria, the team received a credible Intelligence that members of Aiye and Eiye confraternities were regrouping to unleash mayhem on each other and other unsuspecting members of the public at Ketu and it’s environs.

On the strength of the information the operatives swung into action and apprehended some of the cult members, which include, Olaiya Tosin (male) and kazeem  Adeyanju (male). Recovered from them were one locally made gun, a battle axe, one arrow and charms.

Police said the suspects have confessed to be Leaders of Aiye and Eiye confraternities mobilizing their members for a clash of supremacy, while it pushes with more investigation into the matter.
