LCCI Small And Medium Enterprise Group Holds Annual Seminar

Image result for The Small and Medium Enterprise (SME)The Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Group of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), the premier Chamber of Commerce and a leading voice in the organized private sector (OPS) in Nigeria, is set to hold its annual seminar. The theme of this year’s seminar is “EASE OF DOING BUSINESS: ECONOMIC REALITIES FOR SMEs.”

The annual SME seminar, according to the Group’s Chairman, Mr. Jon Kachikwu, is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 23rd August, 2017 at the LCCI Conference and Exhibition Centre, 1, Nurudeen Olowopopo Street, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos by10am and would be used to highlight the opportunities and challenges in the SME sector; and evaluate the  extent to which the Federal Government’s policy on ease of doing business has positioned  businesses, particularly SMEs towards growth and economic sustainability in the country.”

Kachikwu further disclosed that, “speakers at the event include: Assistant Comptroller General, Abueh, Zonal Coordinator, Nigeria Customs Service; Director General, National Agency for Food Drug Administration and Control; USAID/NEXTT; Barr. Prince Joel, Principal Partner, Prince Joel & Associates and Mr. Joy Akinolu, Consultant, Bank of Industry.  The event is expected to be chaired by the President of The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Mrs. Nike Akande, CON.” 

He further explained that, “the LCCI SME Group is a very active arm of the Chamber known for its constructive engagement on critical issues affecting the operations and activities of its members, with the aim of creating enabling environment for their businesses to thrive.”
