LG Electronics (LG) has revealed its efficient, new DUALCOOL, residential air conditioner at the launch of its new B2B Academy in Lagos.
Leveraging LG’s latest air conditioning technologies, including the ThinQ function, the new DUALCOOL provides a year-round pleasant indoor environment.

In an attempt to address the needs of its esteemed consumers, either those who are health conscious and want to live a healthy lifestyle or those who are design conscious and want air conditioners that blend with their interiors, LG Electronics, in the last few years, has focused on innovative ways to deliver the next generation of quality products that will fit into the smart home of the future.
In the residential air conditioners market, some of the products that the company has achieved remarkable innovation success are the ARTCOOL and DUALCOOL Air Conditioners. LG ARTCOOL and DUACOOL are life changer because they are beyond just ACs as they are packed with health benefits such as the Plasmaster Ionizer+ that removes 99% of adhering bacteria and deodorizes and 40% fast cooling.
With its sophisticated ‘interior fit’ design and refined matte finish, the latest LG DUALCOOL air conditioner is a stylish addition to the home.
The advanced, new model integrates a dual outlet structure that delivers fast, optimized temperature control and gentle, indirect airflow that won’t leave users feeling chilly.

Embedded with advanced Wi-Fi technology, LG’s ThinQ application allows users to easily control the appliance from both inside and outside the home.
The intelligent application gives household members various personalized options, allowing them to choose and save their preferred air conditioning temperatures.

Hysoung Sub Ji, Managing Director, LG Electronics Nigeria, said at the official launch of the academy: “With the opening of the new academy centre, LG aims to further develop and respond to the growing needs of the Nigerian market. While we are continuously introducing technologies and energy efficient products that ensure the best air quality and comfort, we keep our commitment of contributing to the society and build knowledge and expertise to develop the skills of the people. We look forward to expanding our expertise in the market and provide eco-friendly high-level air conditioning systems.”
Given that Africa is a key market for growth and expansion, the facility will serve as a hub for industry trade professionals to learn about the latest HVAC technologies available, sharpen their installation and maintenance skills, and ultimately deliver better product recommendations and services to their customers.
The facility is scheduled to host thousands of training courses, guiding professionals through a spectrum of topics, spanning both the residential and commercial sectors, including installation, software evaluation, and best practices for servicing LG air solutions products.

The courses are designed to cover technical installation and service training, with an emphasis on ducted and duct-free, VRF, heat pump water heater and control solutions.

Earlier in 2012, LG Electronics opened its first Commercial Air-conditioning Academy in the University of Lagos as well as awarding scholarships to 10 meritorious students of the faculty of Engineering of the University of Lagos (UNILAG). The facility aimed at enabling students gain the most up-to-date skills and training in Commercial Air Conditioning.
In a great way, the opening of this academy which has been designed to meet international standards, marks the beginning of a new epoch in the world of Business Solutions.
The LG B2B academy will feature a range of Information Display and Air Conditioning products for Residential, Commercial, Office and Hotel purposes such as Air-to-Water Heat Pump and ArtCool Mirror; Multi V outdoor units and a variety of VRF indoor units.
