The Super eagles match against the Malagasy footballers on 30th June, 2019 has since sparked discussions amongst fans across the country. Contrary to the expectations of the Nigerian Supporters, the Madagascans won two to nil, leaving them to top the group chart.

The match was shown at an exciting viewing party at Landmark, Oniru organized by Visa, with invited guests in attendance.

The guests who all shared a genuine passion for football were treated to an Egyptian themed ambience, reflecting the culture of the host nation of AFCON 2019. To kick-off the event, Visa announced two lucky individuals as winners of an all-expense paid trip to watch AFCON 2019 live in Egypt, courtesy Visa.

Winners were selected after paying with Visa during the promotion period which lasted from 28th May to 19th June. Prominent football legends, George Findi and Mutiu Adepoju were in attendance to share their professional views on the match and meet with guests.

The exclusive event gave guests the pleasure of enjoying football themed games, as part of the overall experience. Despite Nigeria’s loss to Madagascar, guests still exuded their support and loyalty for the Super Eagles.

Visa’s Country manager and Vice President, Visa West Africa, Kemi Okusanya, said that as the official payment sponsor of the Total AFCON2019, Visa is committed to making the tournament innovative and interesting as they aim to reach even more fans around the world and provide unmatched experiences to clients, cardholders and partners.
