A 43 year old man has been remanded by the Court for allegedly raping his three daughters.

An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday remanded Emeka Orisakwe, who was accused of defiling his three daughters.

Orisakwe, who resides at Maza Maza, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos State, was dragged to Court by the Police for sexual assault.

Magistrate Ejiro Kubeinje rejected Orisakwe’s plea and ordered that he should be remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre.

The Court  directed the Police to send the case file to the state Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice.

She adjourned the case until Tuesday November 2, 2021 for DPP advice.

The Prosecution Counsel, ASP. Bisi Ogunleye, told the court that the defendant committed the offence between May and July; adding that the alleged sexual assaults took place at his residence and that Orisakwe sexually assaulted his three daughters aged eight, six and four.

The prosecution said medical reports also showed that the children had been defiled.

The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. The offence, as stated in the section, attracts life imprisonment for penetration sexually through the vagina.
