The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has expressed shock over the news of the demise of Mr. Sylvester Enoghase, which occurred on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.
The MAN family extends its deepest condolences to the Commerce and Industry Correspondents Association of Nigeria (CICAN), the management and staff of Daily Independent, and the bereaved family on the passing of this distinguished journalist and media partner.
In a statement, the MAN, described Mr. Enoghase as a rare professional whose work seamlessly bridged the gap between complex industrial policy and public understanding.
His insightful reporting and rigorous analysis were instrumental in highlighting both the challenges and triumphs of the manufacturing sector.
In recognition of his exceptional dedication to economic journalism, the Association proudly honoured him as a recipient of the MAN Media Personality Award.
This accolade was a testament to his objectivity, integrity, and unwavering commitment to amplifying the voice of the Nigerian manufacturer. He was a steadfast partner who deeply understood the vital importance of industrialization to our national growth.
“We will sorely miss his presence at our briefings, his sharp analytical mind, and the professional dignity he brought to every assignment. His contributions have left an indelible mark on the landscape of Nigerian economic journalism.
“Though words cannot fully ease the pain of this profound loss, we pray that the Almighty God grants his family, his professional colleagues at CICAN, and his associates at Daily Independent the fortitude and grace to bear this irreparable loss.
May his soul find eternal rest, and may his legacy of excellence continue to inspire those who carry the torch of economic reporting.” MAN remarked in the letter.
On its part the NACCIMA through Engr. Olusola Obadimu, its Director General, expressed the Association’s shock on the passing of the journalist.
“His dedication to business journalism and impact on the Nigerian business environment will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, colleagues, and the media community during this difficult time.” NACCIMA said.
