Companies within the Ikeja Electric zone have expressed disappointment over what they described as insufficient power supply from the company.

They said they may be compelled to disconnect from its supply network if it fails to address the issue.

The companies under the umbrella of Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, MAN, Ikeja branch, said they operated at a great loss following the quality of power generated by Ikeja Electric, as well as non- metering system prevalent in Lagos.

They also condemned the use of Best of Judgement (BoS) by the Disco, saying that it is not only unfair but also unethical.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting and signed by the association’s Chairman, Prince Oba Okojie, the manufacturers urged the Ikeja Electric to urgently upgrade its information technology, and have a robust financial payment system to accommodate payments by cheques, drafts and funds transfer among others.

They, however, called on their members to effect prompt payment of energy bills as and at when due to enable Ikeja Electric have funds to defray its cost of operations.
