The management of Max Air Limited has concluded arrangement to commence domestic flights to all destinations in Nigeria as part effort to ease the hardship being encountered by air travellers in the country.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Airline’s Public Relations Manager, Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru.

Dahiru said already the airline had purchased three additional aircraft, which would be used for the domestic operation nationwide.

According to him, the newly acquired aircraft 737-500 with the capacity of 130 seats each would have its operational base in Kano.

Dahiru said with the coming of Max Air into the domestic market in Nigeria, the airline intends to wipe out tears and hardships being encountered by air travellers to their various destinations in the country.

He said the airline, which was established in Nigeria in 2007, has been operating as an International Charter Airline concentrating mainly on the annual Hajj and Umrah airlift.

He said since the inception of the airline, it has been operating with seven wide bodied aircraft Boeing 747.

He said: “Similarly, in the last 11 years of its operation in Nigeria, Max Air has airlifted over 500,000 passengers mainly pilgrims to Saudi Arabia and back home in addition to charter airlift like the current airlift of Nigerian refugees from Libya.”
