The Managing Director of Med-View Airline, Alhaji Muneer Bankole, says pilgrims deserve better welfare support and has therefore urged the Federal Government to ensure that Nigerians who are participating in this year’s Hajj in Saudi Arabia are not abandoned.

He asked the Federal Government to begin to show concern on the Hajj matters to ensure the safety and welfare of its citizens.

Bankole, who spoke with journalists on this year’s Hajj operation, said the airline had deployed three aircraft for the airlift of about 20,000 pilgrims from across the country.

According to him, beyond spiritual engagement, it behoves the Federal Government to show interest in the welfare of its citizens who are outside the shores of the country.

He said the government had the social responsibility of looking after the wellbeing of its citizens anywhere in the world and pilgrimage was an area of the responsibility which it could not shy away from.

Alhaji Bankole reiterated the commitment of Med-View Travels Consult, a subsidiary of Med-View Airline, to the comfortable Hajj experience of its pilgrims.
