The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, in Taraba State, has handed over 11 suspected kidnappers and gun runners they arrested to the Police.
Taraba State Commissioner of Police, Abimbola Sokoya, took the suspects into custody after receiving them at Maraban kunini, on Sunday, August 22.
The chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association in the state, Sahabi Tukur, explained that this was done in response to a pledge made before the Emir of Muri Alhaji Abbas Tafida, and State Commissioner of Police that they will expose criminal elements among them.
He further gave the assurances that the committee members drawn from all the Fulani clans in the state would work along with Police and other security agencies in all the 16 local government areas of the state to expose kidnappers and other criminals.
The Commissioner applauded them coming together to deal with kidnapping and other crimes being perpetrated by criminals.
He also called for a collaborative effort between, Adamawa, Benue, and Taraba states in dealing with kidnapping and other criminals activities.
