A mother of three had allegedly stabbed her children to death in Imo state.
The tragedy struck in the early hours of Saturday; at Aju-ihe, Ahaba, Awo Idemili.
The reason is yet to be known officially, but according to her mother-in-law; the mother of the children in question had told her husband, Emeka Ajoihe, to attend a vigil; while she stayed at home with the children.
Reports gathered that before her husband returned, she had stabbed all their children, killing two instantly; while the third one was rushed to the hospital where she also allegedly died.
Meanwhile, the incident has sparked confusion in the community in which it occurred. 1st News gathered that some residents have alleged diabolical influence in the shocking incident. A correspondent based in Imo State told 1st News that residents confirmed that the woman and her husband in question; had lived peacefully up until the moment of the fateful incident.
Therefore, they attributed the multiple homicide and slaughter of the children as diabolically induced.
Indeed, our correspondent affirms that the incident has stolen the peace in the community by virtue of its sheer extremity and shocking scale.
Nevertheless, another school of thought holds that the mother of the children may have been mentally unstable.
