NACCIMA Advocates Advanced Technology Adoption By Industries

The President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture, NACCIMA, John Udeagbala has called on government to implement policies that will encourage adoption of technology especially in the manufacturing sector to spin economic growth and development.

Speaking when he led his team during a visit to Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, Udeagbala applauded the Governors visionary leadership and especially his efforts towards strengthening and repositioning the key sectors in the state to significantly accelerate economic growth and development.

“Your visionary 30-year development plan for Edo state is definitely a step in the right direction which will redefine the state. A bright future awaits Edo state and Nigeria in general with the full implementation of this development plan. The state chamber is ready and committed to work with your administration in achieving these lofty dreams that will re-write the history books.” Udeagbala said.

He particularly appreciated the recent commissioning of the Edo Tech Park, an elite software engineering and leadership-training institute which is evidence to bridging the unemployment gap by his administration.

“It is worthy to note, that this is also a keen area of interest during my tenure as the NACCIMA President “Harnessing Technology and Digital Ecosystem” for the establishment of Tech-hubs and Co-creation centers in the NACCIMA 3 Geo-business zones.

“As you already know technology is the new frontier of most economies which provides opportunities to trigger significant inclusive economic growth and reducing unemployment. I wish to use this opportunity to appeal to you your Excellency, to further increase your support to the chamber movement in Edo State by ensuring that the chamber has a permanent site and location to carry out its activities.” Udeagbala appealed.

He used the opportunity to express his sincere appreciation to Obaseki’s support to the Benin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BENCCIMA). “On their behalf, I want to reaffirm the commitment of the chamber to work closely with you for the success of your administration as you work to further reposition Edo State.

“Also accept my assurance that NACCIMA as the leading member of the Organised Private Sector, will continue to work with your administration to promote the private sector activities in the quest for inclusive economic growth and development.” he added.
