NAHCO Collaborates Skyward To Boost Trade With China

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) Plc is collaborating with Skyward Aviation in a bid to improve trade with China.

In a statement issued by the NAHCO Spokesperson, Mr. Samuel Akinrinmade, the move would further improve trade relations between Nigeria and China.

He added the company has also renewed its handling contract with Qatar Airways for the next five years.

Akinrinmade further pointed out that the partnership would significantly boost trade relations between Nigeria and China.

“The contract signing agreement was held at the NAHCO’s headquarters at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos.

Skyway Aviation is planning to commence direct cargo flights from Urumqi, China to Lagos,” the statement said.

The statement further buttressed that NAHCO was proud of the partnership with Skyward, saying the organisation would give Skyward Aviation the best handling services.

It also posited that its personnel would deliver their jobs professionally at all times once it commences its operations in Nigeria.

The NAHCO further maintained that citizenry now have a choice towards improving business in line with the joint partnership.

The contract, which would run for an initial period of five years, NAHCO said the flights are currently on ad-hoc basis, operating between four and seven times weekly, with possible extension.

“NAHCO Plc has, with this signing, further increased its stakes in the nation’s ground handling business, providing world-class services to most of the top notched airlines operating in Nigeria,” the statement noted.

Akinrinmade, however, noted that the contract would run for the next five years, stressing that it also won the bid to provide ground handling service for the airline’s Abuja operations for another period of five years, which covers passenger, ramp and cargo services as well.
