Navy Seeks Collaboration With Police

The newly appointed Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Naval Training Command Rear Admiral FF Ogu on Friday June 26, paid a courtesy visit on the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Ahmed Iliyasu.

The visit was in furtherance of the synergy between Nigerian Navy and the Nigerian Police* in ensuring the security of lives and properties.

The FOC in retinue of officers was accorded General Salute by men of the Nigeria Police Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan Lagos, after which senior officers in the zone were introduced by the AIG.

The FOC was ushered into the office of the AIG where proper introduction of the Zonal management team and the FOC’s entourage took place.

According to DSP Hauwa Idris-Adamu, Zonal Police Public Relations Office, “The FOC, stated reason for the courtesy visit; which is sustenance of the existing synergy between the agencies.

The AIG in his response; reiterated the commitment and readiness of the Zone to synergize in partnership and collaboration with the Nigeria Navy in combating crime and criminality with the best practices using Community Policing Strategy and to maintain a harmonious working relationship.
