The Commissioner of Police in Zamfara State, CP Usman Nagogo has handed over four cheques of Group Life Insurance and Group Personal Accident Schemes to the Next of Kins of four deceased police officers that died while in active service.
While issuing the cheques to the beneficiaries, on Wednesday Nagogo said, “This gesture is part of the mission and vission of the Inspector General of Police IGP Mohammed A Adamu NPM mni to see to the welfare of Serving , retired and families of the deceased Police officers.”
He noted that, since the inception of the present Police leadership, welfare packages programmes have been initiated and this has reduced the level of hardship of police personnel in Zamfara state and the country in general.
He advised the benefiaries to make judicious use of the money by ensuring that the children are well trained educationally, and should be aware of the fraudstars who may try to decieve them and take away the money in the name of assisting them at the bank.
In their response, the beneficiaries thanked the Nigeria Police especially the Inspector General of Police and the Commissioner of Police for this gesture.
They promised to ensure judicious use of the money as advised.
They pray almighty Allah to continue to guide and protect the officers and men of the Nigeria Police in the discharge of their duties.
The Command explained that the welfare programme is a continous exercise in the Nigeria Police and the public will be informed of this kind welfare packages of the Nigeria Police.
