The federal government has endorsed a Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) with Qatar which is expected to ensure direct flight between major cities in both countries.
Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said the Minister of State for Aviation Alhaji Hadi Sirika, who represented the President at the occasion signed on behalf of Nigeria while Qatar Minister of Transportation and Commerce, Jassim Bin Saif Alsulaiti signed on behalf of the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Bin Hammad Al-Thani.
The agreement is further expected to promote, trade, commerce, tourism between the two countries
The Special Adviser said this was just as Nigeria had commenced discussions on partnerships towards establishing her national airline.
