Nigeria stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lagos, the NSE 30 added 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the NSE 30 were Firstcity Bank , which rose 6.22% or 0.13 points to trade at 2.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Pz Cussons LG added 4.00% or 1.00 points to end at 25.11 and Dangflour was up 3.47% or 0.09 points to 2.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Access Bank (LAGOS:ACCESS), which fell 2.50% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.07 at the close.
Diamond Bank declined 2.30% or 0.07 points to end at 2.98 and Wemabank was down 2.00% or 0.020 points to 1.010.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lagos Stock Exchange by 27 to 19 and 43 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.28% or 1.63 to $48.00 a barrel.
Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 3.04% or 1.61 to hit $51.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.58% or 6.70 to trade at $1162.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NGN was up 0.05% to 226.290, while USD/NGN rose 0.02% to 198.980.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 94.83.
