The Nigerian Gas Association (NGA) is proving itself an attractive and voice for the gas industry as it hosts its bi-annual international Gas conference and exhibition at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel Abuja from 14th to 16th October 2018 with the theme´Shift to Gas Economy: Pace and Scale of Innovation in the West African Sub-Region’.

The leading gas companies in Nigeria that make up the vast gas-value chain, starting from gas exploration and production companies (Upstream), to gas processing and transportation companies (Mid-stream), and including the various end consumers ranging from power generation companies (Gencos), Gas-Based Industries (Fertiliser, Methanol, Petrochemical, etc.), and Industrial and Commercial Consumers (Mini/Micro LNG, CNG/LPG, etc.), will be very active at the 2day event.

This year’s conference will feature a vastly expanded agenda representing the full energy value chain from upstream, through mid-stream transportation to power generation with perspectives from end-users and financiers’ leaders to provide the broadest possible debate in shaping the future direction of the industry for our west African region.

The accompany exhibition will host innovation from the major IOCs, NOCs, EPC contractors, pipeline, manufacturing and technology providers and service companies for progressive discussions, business transactions and cross sector collaboration.

The implications of this revolution, with a particular focus on what it means for West Africa region is important for our industry and the region economy to grasp.

“Nigeria’s total gas production has almost doubled since the year 2000 driven by the successes of NLNG showing that when conditions are right, gas development will follow. The Nigerian Gas Association will continue with its partnership with government and all stakeholders and also at the forefront of championing vast industrialization through natural gas utilization”, Engr. Dada Thomas, President of the Nigerian Gas Association, said.

NGA formed in 1999, is strongly promoting the myriad benefits of gas as well as playing a key role in expanding access to this important energy resource that leads to a lower carbon future, cleaner air and a prosperous economic future for the nation.
