The National Insurance Commission(NAICOM), has stressed the need for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs) to subscribe to insurance to protect their businesses.

The NAICOM which had earlier launched a sensitization programme for the sub sector well as relevant stakeholders in Kano State and the Federal Capital Territory(FCT), Abuja, on the need to subscribe to insurance products and services is widening the initiative.

The Regulator, is therefore pushing for a similar session for MSMEs in Lagos state and its environs to learn and discuss key issues around the subject through insightful conversations with experts on the field.

Head, Corporate Communications and Market Development, Salami ‘Rasaq, of the Commission said, the workshop, which will take place in Lagos on the 5th of August, 2021,  will be declared open by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Rasaq, stressed that, the commission is serious about increasing insurance penetration, adoption and acceptance in the country and has been partnering relevant stakeholders to make this dream a reality.
