The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has carried out a key reshuffle of its management team aimed at boosting operational efficiency and service delivery. This strategic move aligns with the agency’s mission to enhance performance throughout the maritime sector.

Dr. Dayo Mobereola, the Director General of NIMASA, explained that the reshuffle is designed to foster stronger collaboration between departments and bring fresh energy to the agency’s work culture. The changes are expected to improve overall maritime governance in Nigeria.

As part of the new management lineup, Hajia Moji Jimoh takes charge as Director of Administration and Human Resources, while Aishatu Jidda assumes the role of Director, Planning, Research and Data Management Services. Other notable appointments include Barr. Heaky Dimowo as Director, Legal Services/Board Secretary, and Mrs. Olubusola Obasanjo-Akande overseeing the Western Zone.

Several other leadership positions were filled, including Engr. Christopher Amakulo as Director, Special Duties, and Ms. Gloria Anyasodo as Director, Cabotage Services. The reshuffle also appointed Salihu Abdullahi Yelwa to direct Shipping Development and Mrs. Nneka Obianyor to lead Reforms Coordination and Blue Economy efforts.

Dr. Mobereola encouraged the redeployed directors to leverage their expertise and work together to deliver on the agency’s strategic goals. He emphasized that this realignment is a deliberate step toward enhanced synergy, operational renewal, and sustainable maritime advancement in Nigeria.

The exercise involved a total of 56 management staff and was announced through a statement signed by Mr. Osagie Edward, Head of Public Relations at NIMASA.
