The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas, NLNG Limited, has denied endorsing an oil and gas training programme organised by Almond Technical Career Development, in partnership with Deopel Engineering and School of Professional Mentoring and Capacity building, allegedly for NLNG’s Train 7 Project.

The organisers, in the publicity material, allege that NLNG mandated consultants to organise training sessions for those interested in participating in the project. They also claimed that attendees of these training shall be enlisted for employment in the database of the main Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractor.

However, the NLNG expressly disassociated itself from the said training programme, pointing that the company is not collaborating with any firm for the recruitment of personnel for its Train 7 Project.
In a statement, the NLNG said, “NO COMPANY has been awarded the EPCContract for Train 7 as the selection process is still ongoing. Members of the public are hereby urged to take necessary steps to verify claims of persons purporting to act on behalf of NLNG.
Members of the public are also advised NOT to make financial transactions in
response to such claims and to report any of such incidents to the appropriate law
enforcement agencies”.
It said, NLNG’s website, www.nigerialng.com or www.nlng.com, credible national
newspapers and electronic media remain sources of credible information regarding NLNG’s Train 7 project.
The NLNG expressly disclaims any liability for any losses incurred by any person (s) as a result of reliance on such fraudulent communications, e-mails or publications.
