The Nigerian Stock Exchange, NSE, has announced the launch of its 2019 NSE Factbook on Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at the Stock Exchange House, Lagos. The Factbook is a compendium of capital market information, aimed at ensuring availability and easy access to current and historical market information for both local and foreign investors.
Commenting on the Factbook, Mr. Jude Chiemeka, Divisional Head, Trading Business of the Exchange, said, “timely and adequate information is critical to the workings of the capital market and is imperative for making desirable investment decisions. Over the years, the NSE Factbook has continued to be an invaluable resource for the investing community, providing insight into the operations of the stock market including activities of listed companies, dealing members and other stock market stakeholders. The Factbook is therefore a veritable tool for investor education”.
This special edition of The Factbook incorporates various features aimed at ensuring readers have access to diverse and comprehensive market information such as 5-year financial performance data covering the dividend history of all listed companies listed, ranking of rated companies in line with the Corporate Governance Rating System (CGRS), international codes of listed securities, profiles of dealing members and quoted companies as well as frequently asked questions (FAQs) pertaining to the capital market.
This compendium is available for sale at a unit price of N30,000.00. From 30 July to 11 September, 2019, the Factbook can be purchased at N27,000.00 per unit, a 10 percent discount from the selling price. Anambra Police Command Arrests Robbery Syndicate, Recover Money
The Anambra state Police Command has arrested a robbery syndicate terrorizing innocent persons and dispossessing them of their valuables.
The Commands spokesman SP Haruna Muhammed, said that on the 30/7/2019 at about 2:pm, one Nwanye Philomina ‘female’ aged 30years from Akwuzu boarded a taxi at Nteje Boys high school bus stop in Oyi LGA of Anambra State.
According to hm, “When the vehicle got to Nkwelle ezunaka, the syndicate, having suspected that the victim had money in her possession suddenly stopped and asked her to come down so that they can adjust the seat.
Oblivious of their plan, the victim came down from the car and as soon as she stepped down from the vehicle the hoodlums sped off with the victim’s bag containing the sum of Four hundred thousand naira (#400,000).
“The victim immediately raised alarm which attracted the attention of well meaning individuals who pursued the suspects upto Nkwelle community where police patrol team attached to 3-3 Division intercepted them and arrested the suspects.
The arrested persons include, Collins Okoli ‘male’ aged 33 years, Friday Ebie ‘male’ aged 41years all from Delta State. Other accomplices are, Cynthia Agu ‘female’ aged 20 years and, Mary Andrew ‘female’ aged 20 years all of Enugu State respectively. However, it took concerted efforts by the Police before they could rescue the suspects from the mob who descended heavily on them”
“Meanwhile, the snatched money was recovered and vehicle used in perpetrating the offence impounded and registered as exhibits. Case under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court for prosecution” Muhammed said.
