The National Youth Sevice Corps, NYSC, has commiserated with family of Aliyu Muhammad, who unfortunately died when security operatives engaged bandits recently.
In a statement, Eddy Megwa, Director, Press and Public Relations of NYSC, confirmed that Aliyu Muhammad was a Corps Member mobilised for service under the 2021 Batch ‘A’ service year. He served in Katsina State and was successfully discharged in February, 2022.
“The Management commiserates with the family of Ex-Corps Member Aliyu Muhammad over the tragic loss. From our records, he was a diligent and patriotic Corps Member who served the Nation conscientiously. ” Megwa added.
The statement corrected a story trending on the social media stating erroneously that a Corps Member serving in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja was killed in a crossfire between security operatives and bandits on Kaduna/Abuja highway on Friday, 13th May, 2022.
