The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, has expressed concern over desperation of some people attacking its formations in search of palliatives, particularly the Orientation camps.
The management has also said that there are no palliatives in any of the 37 NYSC camps nationwide, according to Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi Director, Press and Public Relations, in a statement.
“It is imperative to note that the National Youth Service Corps is a national institution saddled with the core mandate of promoting national unity and integration, as well as youth development and empowerment. The mandate does not include warehousing and distribution of palliatives.” it said in a statement.
The Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim in the statement appealed for the cessation of further attacks on facilities of the Institution.
