The Oil and Gas Decarbonisation Congress (DECARBON) 2025, has called top management and leading technical specialists to present companies’ experience and solutions for reducing carbon emissions within the oil and gas sector.

The Congress is held in Berlin, Germany on 10-11 February.

As the global focus intensifies on reducing carbon emissions to combat climate change, oil and gas companies align with environmental, social and governance goals, explore cleaner technologies and navigate shifting regulatory frameworks.

This way, DECARBON 2025 is inviting professionals to address the current development and implementation of decarbonisation approaches for the oil and gas majors, refineries, EPCs and pipeline operators.

One such case is the company ELINOIL that uses renewable synthetic fuels (e-fuel) from captured CO2.

These fuels can be blended with existing fuels such as petrol or aviation fuel and can be a practical way to reduce transport emissions.

The company also produces low-carbon liquid fuels such as biofuels from waste, Hydrotreated Vegetable Oils (HVOs) and pyrolytic fuels from plastic waste and tires.

Simos Efthymiadis, Operations Director at ELINOIL, joins DECARBON 2025 as a speaker and going to share more about sustainable liquid fuels within the panel dedicated to decarbonisation in the downstream production.

The business programme also features a presentation from Lorenzo Santini, Director, Nuclear Business Development at Worley.

The speaker shares the company’s experience on using floating nuclear power units. In his speech, Lorenzo Santini addresses different solutions for the adaption of SMR (Small Modular Reactors) to the decarbonisation of offshore oil assets. Increasing the focus on reducing carbon emissions in the energy, chemicals and resources sectors, Worley makes assets more resilient to climate change.

The Congress also gives an opportunity to take part in presentations of PCK Raffinerie GmbH, Moeve Quimica, Fluor, Repsol, TAL Group, McDermott, TotalEnergies Upstream Denmark A/S and others. From the high-tech approaches to new projects, delegates gain valuable insights and discuss face-to-face the future of decarbonisation with industry decision-makers
