The Oloro and Paramount Ruler of Oro Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II has decried the recent killings in the Woro and Nuku communities of Kaiama Local Government Area, describing the acts as barbaric and devastating to the peace of the state.

The revered Monarch extended his heartfelt sympathies to the Emir of Kaiama, Alhaji Muazu Omar, the Village Head of Woro, Alhaji Saliu Bio Umar, the victims’ families, and the Kwara State Government.

In a personal statement issued on Thursday, Oba Oyatoye commended the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (CON) for his physical visit to the troubled communities, noting that the Governor’s presence on the ground to personally sympathize with the people reflects a leader who is truly connected to the pains of his subjects.
