OVH Energy Names Huub Stokman CEO

OVH Energy, has announced the appointment of Huub Stokman as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Prior to his appointment, Huub Stokman was the Head of Puma Energy International in Angola, responsible for the overall business, which included managing retail forecourt, terminal/logistics operations, as well as B2B business for fuels, lubricants, aviation fuels and bitumen.

Before joining Puma, he spent over 20 years at BP during which he was responsible for Sales and Marketing as well as major projects across 15 European countries.

Huub Stokman has, over the years and in various capacities, proven to be an accomplished executive leader in a number of international downstream businesses, with a history of successfully enhancing bottom-line performance.

Speaking on his appointment, Huub Stokman said, “I am excited to have been selected to lead OVH Energy. There is remarkable potential for this business in Nigeria and together with the strong and talented OVH Energy team and our key stakeholders, I am confident we will continue to build a market leading business.”

Speaking on behalf of the shareholders – Vitol, Helios, and Oando – Tope Lawani, Managing Partner of Helios said, “Huub’s selection as our CEO comes on the back of our efforts to strengthen OVH’s operations and service offerings. He brings a wealth of international and industry-wide experience which will be leveraged in driving the growth of the overall business in Nigeria, with a particular focus on making OVH Energy the downstream marketer of choice for all petroleum products in the market.  Huub will be supported by Olaposi Williams as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.”

OVH Energy is a leading Africa-focused downstream energy company, with expertise that spans across jetty and terminaling services as well as the marketing and distribution of refined petroleum products for retail, commercial and industrial purposes.
