The National Pension Commission (PenCom) has announced the demise of its Commissioner, Finance Division, Prince Adesoji Olaoba-Efuntayo.

The Director General of the Commission, Mrs. Chinelo Anohu-Amazu, who confirmed this in a statement in Abuja, said  the Commissioner died at the age of 58 after a brief illness.

While commiserating with the family of the late Commissioner, the Director General stated that the Board, Management and Staff of the Commission will sorely miss him.  She also prayed that God grants his family, friends and relatives the fortitude to bear this great loss.

A seasoned professional, the late Prince Adesoji Olaoba-Efuntayo was appointed Commissioner, Finance Division, PenCom, by the Federal Government in 2014. Before then, he was Chairman of Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State, and a former Special Adviser on Youth and Sports to the former Governor of Osun State, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola. Prince Olaoba-Efuntayo was also a member of various professional bodies, among them, the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs and the Nigerian Bar Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Adewola Olufunke Mary Olaoba-Efuntayo, children and grandchildren.
