Police AIG Zone 4 Assures Of Better Policing Of Benue

The Police Zone 4 Commander, AIG Jonah Mava has promised to speed up his security apparatus to enforce community policing across the Zone. Also call on him to revisit his promise while giving speech on the assume duty date.

Mava, who is in charge of Zone 4 comprising Nassarawa, Plateau, and Benue states Command, promised to tackle the prevailing insecurity challenges confronting the states under its command.

AIG Mava, stated this at the zonal command office in Makurdi shortly after he was received by members of the centri-guard and the management staff of the zone.

While expressing optimism in reducing crime such as banditry, armed militia, communal clashes and cultism to barest minimum, he said Benue and the states under his command is a familiar terrain having worked six years as Assistant Commissioner of police state CID at the police command in Makurdi before returning.

He said his return will give him the opportunity to do more, assuring the people of safety of their life and property.

He also pledged to hold talks with relevant stakeholders such as traditional rulers, districts heads and community leaders to help nip crime in the bud.

He assured officers and men of the command of adequate welfare while his administration last in the quest to continue to prevent crimes and make the citizen safe.

He also pledged commitment to a proactive community policing in the various States as this would avail the police useful information in curbing crime.
