The Zamfara State Police Command is making additional security arrangements to ensure safety and security of all Correctional facilities in the State.
The Commissioner of Police CP Ayuba N. Elkanah in the State accompanied by Police Tactical Commanders on Monday visited Gusau Central Correctional facility to assess the existing security arrangements with a view to averting any security threats at the Centre.
The Commissioner while going round the facility assured the Comptroller of Correctional Service that, Police is fully committed to the security and safety of all Correctional centres in the state.
He said his office is always open to approve any security request regarding Correctional facilities
The Comptroller of Correctional Service while responding commended the Commissioner for his Proactiveness and enthusiasm to protect correctional facilities against any form of attack by unscrupulous elements.
He assured the CP that, his office will be keeping in touch with the Police Command in a bid to ensure Security of Correctional Centres in the State.
The Commissioner is scheduled to make similar visit to other correctional facilities outside Gusau, the State capital.
