The Police in Edo have confirmed abduction of some students and a staff of the National Institute of Construction Technology, at Uromi, Esan North-East Local Government Area of the State.
The Police is now on the trail of the abductors after the incident on Wednesday when unknown gunmen stormed the Institute.
The Command also revealed that the yet-to-be identified gunmen stormed the institute on Wednesday night; abducting an unknown number of persons which include students and staff to an unknown location.
Speaking to newsmen in Benin City, the Edo State Capital; the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP. Bello Kontongs confirmed the abduction. Also, he disclosed that the Police are on the trail of the abductors.
“It is true, there was kidnapping, and the police are on the trail of the kidnappers. Three persons were kidnapped, one is a staff while the other two are students,” he added.
