Police detectives from Ikorodu Police Station and Taskforce have arrested one Ojo Adeyinka ‘male’ 33years old of No. 1 Miracle Villa Street Abafo Ogijo, Ogun State.
He is a 2013 graduate of Mass Communication.
The suspect was arrested for forging Riders identity cards of Motor Vehicle Administration, Agents of Lagos State Government.
His arrest follows a complaint received from one Prince Ibrahim Audu ‘male’ the Station Manager of Riders Card, Ikorodu division.
He was accused of selling the said forged Identification card which serves as permits to unsuspecting motorcycle owners between two thousand, five hundred naira (#2,500.00) and three thousand, four hundred naira (3,400.00) each.
The suspect has already confessed to the commission of the crime.
In his statement, he stated that, he started forging riders permits in January 2020.
He use the advantage of the proximity of his shop to the licensing office at Odogunyan area to lure his victims, under the guise of being an agent of the VIO. Items recovered from the suspect include machines used in printing the fake documents and large quantity of the printed materials.
The commissioner of Police Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has ordered the transfer of the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department for indepth investigation and diligent prosecution.
