It was gathered that the bodies of the slain hoodlums were dumped in a canal around the Onitire, Abaranje area by their killers, a situation which made an elderly man who owns a wooden bridge there to call the police when he arrived the bridge very early today.

The police, led by the Divisional police officer, DPO of Ikotun police station, CSP Johnson first stormed the area and made arrests later, while the team led by the CP arrived and evacuated the bodies.

A member of the Ikotun Royal Family known as ‘One man Squad’ who was declared by residents as a leader of the evil gang, and a son of one of the landlords of the area was killed alongside  two others.

Since the announcement of the lockdown by the LASG and the FG, the residents had been having sleepless nights over the incessant operations of the one million boys, situation that turned several residents to night guards who must set bonfire and brandish cutlasses through the night to protect their area.

The DPO, Ikotun Division has ensured regular patrol of the area with a serious pin down point at a place known as Asalu, one of the dark spots of Abaranje, believed to be massively inhabited by ‘one million boys’

The suspected OPC killers have been arrested and sent to SCID, Panti, Yaba.
