Police raided market where Indian helms are traded openly and apprehended the dealers

Police raided market where Indian helms are traded openly and apprehended the dealers based on the strength of information, Police Operatives from Okoko Police Station led by the Divisional Police Officer,  raided a criminal hideouts inside Alaba Rago market.  Six Suspects namely: Ayomide Samuel, Job omesi, Buhari Oseni, Muda Haruna, Obasanjo Segun, and Suraju Ayuba were arrested.
Further, six Nylons bags filled with dried leaves suspected to be Indian helm were recovered. Investigation is ongoing, suspects will be charged to Court according to the Lagos State Police spokesperson DSP Bala Elkana.
In addition, another six suspects arrested for Cultism and Murder were also arrested by Police operatives attached to Area J Command Lagos, they are: Babatunde Wasiu of No 22 Lumo street off surulere Lagos, Bolaji Elijah, of No 44 Yewa Rd, Pokah Imontun Epe, Joseph Timoth of No 5 Okia Jano street Eredo-Epe, Bolaji Olayiwola of No 6 okesuna street Obalende, Lagos, Saheed Lateef of No 13 Baale Obodo street okeranla Street, langbasa, Ajah, and Julius Augele of No 13 obodo street, okeranla, Langbasa, Ajah ,Lagos.
The suspects were arrested in connection with the clash between Eye and Aiye cult groups, which occured on 14/4/2019  at General paint, Ajah. The clash left 4 Aye cultist dead. The axes and jack knives which they used during the clash were recovered from them.
Four other suspects were earlier arrested and charged to Court in connection with the incident, bringing the number of suspects arrested to ten. Homicide section of the State Criminal Investigation Department CID, Panti is investigating the case.
