Lauretta Onochie, who is Social Media Aid in the presidency has confirmed all 317 schoolgirls kidnapped from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State have been released.
According to the Presidency, the Jangebe schoolgirls were released on Sunday, February 28, and were received at the palace of the Emir of Anka waiting for transportation to Gusau, the State capital, Onochie said in a tweet.
She further thanked men and women of the Nigerian Army and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) as well as the Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle for the release of the schoolgirls.
