PTAD Begins Computation Of 19,561 Verified Pensioners Of Defunct/Privatised Agencies

 Following the successful verification exercise carried out in Q4 of 2017 and Q1 of 2018 by the Parastatals Pension Department (PaPD) for pensioners of some defunct and privatised agencies, the Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate, PTAD has continued the computation of pension benefits and related entitlements due to regular pensioners and Next of Kin (NOKs) to qualified deceased pensioners respectively.

 So far, the Directorate has completed the computation and enrolment of pensioners of Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and Nigerian Defence Academy – Civilians onto monthly pension payroll since April 2018.

 Presently, the computation of the pension benefits of the pensioners of the remaining Agencies are on-going.

According to the applicable completion timelines, the Agency would verify 371 files in Nigeria Reinsurance, on the 28th of June, 2018, Delta Steel Company with 4,261 file on 3rd July 2018, while NICON Insurance, with 1,211 files will be completed on the 4th July 2018. 

The PTAD also plans to complete the exercise with NITEL whose files totals 13,718 On the 7th August 2018 bringing to 19,561 files to be verified under the exercise.
